Our story
The idea started simple.
Bring the calm of the forest into your home — not as decoration, but as a living presence.
MORI was born from the desire to create something that lasts longer than a cut flower, that grows with its space, that asks for attention and rewards it with calm.
We chose the kokedama — an ancient Japanese technique of growing plants in coconut fiber — because it's exactly that: living, imperfect, unique, sustainable.
The name
森 · Mori means forest in Japanese.
It's not just a name. It's an intention.
A forest is not rushed. It grows at its own pace, in silence, with purpose.
That's what we try to bring to every piece we make by hand.
What we make
Every MORI kokedama is handmade in Portugal.
We use coconut fibre as our main substrate — a natural, sustainable material that retains moisture without suffocating roots.
We work with plants carefully selected for indoor life: resilient, beautiful, and suited to the rhythm of city living.
We don't mass-produce. Each piece takes time — and that's intentional.
Who it's for
MORI is for people who value what's made with care.
For those who want a more alive space, without needing a garden.
For those who give something that grows instead of wilting.
For those who want an urban indoor forest.
Our community are urban, curious, design-minded people — who find pleasure in small rituals: watering, observing, tending.
Made in Portugal
Our kokedamas are produced in Lisbon.
We ship across Portugal and the European Union.
